ACCH developed as an independent organization to its current states of over 5,000 members. The Association of Child Life Council’s 2015-2018 Strategic Plan has a carries the association’s future and a fulfillment of the decision making. In 2016, the board conducted a comprehensive strategic planning process. It reaffirmed its vision through the creation of the following pillars;

• To enhance parent’s awareness of their ability to proactively ask for child life services.
• To establish that health care decisions are essential for improving patient and family care, satisfaction.
One of the noticeable steps in achieving strategic plan goals involves changing the identity of the association. Subsequently, the CLC Board of Directors made critically important decision of changing the organization’s name to Association of Child Life Professionals. Our strategic planning session was facilitated by a trained expert who guided our discovery process and incorporated additional information and resources to supplement our reports and trend analysis.
Partnership with major donors provided financial support required to analyze the planning process comprehensively. According to analysis, a new strategic plan was formulated to finance the strategy. The new strategic plan offered a framework and a pathway to help our vision become a reality (Pates, 2006). According to the Association of Child Life Council‘s strategic framework, there are three key strategic drivers;

(b) Member Experience.
(c) Organizational Strength.
The association’s strategic plan establishes a concrete foundation for prioritizing researching to expand the awareness of the speclists and boost to strengthen the value of child life. . In addition, there is a grant from corporate partners who saw value after the sea.
The association’s strategic plan emphasizes the importance of rebranding based on the need to reach and influence stakeholders and enhance professional credibility. The 2015-2018 Strategic Framework is anchored on three major strategic drivers. The strategic drivers guide the Association of Child Life Council‘s mission. The drivers include professional credibility, organizational strength, and member experience. Discussion and decisions made by the Board of Directors are founded on these strategic drivers and their goals (Debuys, 2017). However, task forces and committees work will help align the goal and with the desired outcomes.
The future of Child Life
Health professionals and play a vital role in the implementation of the 2015-2018 Strategic Framework. The future of the child life greatly depends on the expertise ensures of the competent child life professionals who are committed and ready to impact on the lives of the families. The most important aspect is the best interest to better the child life is a role of the profession as a well as the patient through continuous quality improvement.
Achieving good child health among children is essential for their later health life. Most health issues experienced adulthood and old age were at one-time avoidable risk factors that would have been prevented from childhood. The United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child notes that every child has the right to highest attainable health standards. The Association of Child Life Professionals anticipates that the next strategic planning will be done in 2018. It will develop a picture of the success of the organization relies on the ability to change effectively. This approach would require listening and valuing the shared responsibility among all of ACLP’s stakeholders.
