Photography is more than just capturing a moment to me. It provides me with opportunities to carry out a retrospective study of the past, connect the missing links with the present and make use of critical thinking to focus on the future. Perhaps, common cliché that says ‘’A picture is a thousand words” is an understatement, it is beyond human quantification. A photo can be of low resolution or high resolution. For the case of high resolution, we fix our eye with external feature such as clothes but for the case of a low resolution, it indulges our minds from physical attraction to another higher level analysis of a photo: an analysis of the soul of a photo.
Going to a Vintage shop or an antique shop at many a times exposes our eyes to some of the rare photos that old enough to defeat our minds from bridging this missing gaps in order to create meanings out of them with relevance to our contemporary images in the modern society. These are some of the challenges that made me to admire the field of photography. A field than enables me to use the past to tell the present and to use the present to focus the future.
I do believe that one can do best what they I love most. I love photography the most and I envision that this is the best path to follow for my career development. I have a lot of unstoppable passion and given a chance to study photography will not only develop me mentally but it will also add improve the existing knowledge by adding more information that otherwise could have been uncovered without my input. The synergy in me is enough to propel me to greater heights. Only the sky is the limit.
My sources of photos mostly are obtained from the internet. I usually obtain a collection of old images usually unidentified and then stick them together in order to conceptualize the concealed meanings in these images. With my high skills of creativity, at many a times, I do manage to break down information concealed in this images into meaningful information that is useful in the provision of reasons of why, where, how, when and what of various incidences. Unlike the current images which are 3-D images, the 2-D images are difficult to internalize but trial and error, I have mastered the skill of perfection in the interpretation of images.
To sum it up, being a photographer is a talent, perfecting it is a skill and mastering it makes it a career. It is a career chosen by few but its outcomes benefits many globally. I believe more could like to join this job but are not sure whether it will prove to be interesting as imagined. My one step ahead will prove to many that this is a right career for those who have passion and enough synergy for this career.
